In the article "In Way too Deep" I had the opportunity to give you an in-depth look at the newest game mode to appear in the franchise, Highway Battle. With that being said, let's look a little into exactly into the game is from the race to the chase, shall we? Speaking of massive, Tri-City is the largest in the franchise yet, containing roughly a hundred miles of roadway for you to explore and enjoy. I'm incredibly impressed with the amount of effort the world designers have placed into this massive city. Tri-City feels very much a living part of the real world, complete with all of the little details that make it seem even more lively.ĭriving around Tri-City there is always something that will catch your eye, wether it's off in the distance or parked right next to you. From the tall skyscrapers, to the mountains, to the water, to the texture of the roadways and the brilliant skies. The Tri-City envirnoment was even more polished and stunning then it was when I first had the chance to preview the game. Immediately you are greeted by an amazing introductory cutscene then immersed directly into the game. And I'll also talk a little bit about the way online will work in Undercover.įirst and foremost I must say that Undercover just beckons you to go deep into Tri-City from the moment the game is turned on. I'll share some facts about Undercover's customization engine including both visual and performance aspects. In this latest article, and the last before launch, I'll go deeper then ever before and cover some of the new game modes featured in Undercover. The second was a glimpse into the physical gameplay features such as the physics engine and the exciting new Highway Battle mode found exclusively in Need for Speed Undercover.
The first article was an inside look at the story driven elements of the game. Two months ago, I supplied you, the awesome Need for Speed community, with two in- depth articles on the latest installment of the popular Need for Speed franchise.
